Diversion Worker for Youth at YOU

Empower youth in crisis as a Diversion Worker with Youth Opportunities Unlimited in London, Ontario.

This role offers hands-on support to those facing homelessness and fosters community connections.

As a key member of the Community Youth Hub team, you will provide critical diversion support to youth at risk of homelessness. You will utilize your case management skills to develop housing plans and assist youths with securing essential documentation. Your efforts will promote family reunification and community integration, ensuring youth have a safe space while working toward permanent solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete case management and support network coordination

• Administer assessments for youth and initiate housing plans

• Assist youth with paper-readiness for social support applications

• Provide community referrals and advocacy for participants

• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in human relations or social services

• Minimum 2 years of relevant case management experience

• Knowledge of local youth services and supports

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to empathize

• First Aid/CPR certification required
