As a part of The Salvation Army's team, you will provide crucial emotional and practical support to individuals in withdrawal. This role involves managing crises, formulating client service plans, and educating clients about recovery. Your ability to assess behaviors and deliver personalized counseling will be key to their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Observe and assess behaviors during withdrawal and crises
• Document client service plans and progress toward goals
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions
• Educate clients on chemical dependence and recovery
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in assigned areas
Requirements:
• Two-year degree in Health or Social Services
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• One-year relevant experience in addictions field
• Solid communication and assessment skills
• Background Check with vulnerable sector screening required
