Cloud Platform API Engineer

Job Description

• We are seeking a Cloud Platform API Engineer to design, build, and scale modular, composable, and interoperable components that power our public platform APIs.
• This role focuses on developing cloud-native backend services, managing API gateways, and implementing infrastructure as code to support secure, reliable, and high-performance platforms.

• Design and develop scalable, production-grade APIs and backend services using Go.
• Build and manage cloud-native solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Design, publish, secure, and manage APIs using Apigee.
• Ensure high availability, performance, observability, and security of services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient, reusable platform components.
• Follow best practices in clean code, testing, CI/CD, and system design.
• Write and maintain documentation for software applications.
• Collaborate with other engineers and developers to ensure code quality and consistency.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and API-driven architecture.
• Hands‑on experience building backend services in Go.
• Practical experience with GCP, AWS or Clienture (e.g., Compute, GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, networking).
• Demonstrated experience with Apigee or similar API gateway/proxy technologies.
• Proficiency with Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud security practices.

• Demonstrated experience designing and building customer‑facing APIs.
• Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.

• Bachelor's or degree in Computer Science or a related field.
