Location: Southwestern Ontario
Drive innovation at Blackline Safety as a Firmware Engineer focused on embedded systems. Collaborate with a diverse team to develop firmware that impacts safety outcomes.
The Firmware Engineer will work within a talented team at Blackline Safety, contributing to the design and optimization of critical firmware for safety devices.
Your role involves coding, testing, and debugging in an embedded environment, ensuring the firmware meets high-quality standards throughout its development cycle. This position supports the company's goal of creating advanced safety solutions for a variety of challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement features and improvements using TDD
• Write drivers for new hardware and peripherals
• Enhance compatibility for new sensors on our devices
• Manage firmware releases for several products
Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• At least 5 years of embedded systems experience
• Expertise in C/C++ programming
• Experience with embedded RTOS required
• APEGA registration eligibility
