Be part of onsemi's embedded firmware team in Waterloo as a Staff Firmware Engineer. Focus on low-level firmware development for advanced power management solutions with a collaborative work culture. This role demands a solid background in embedded firmware development, where you will work on high-performance sensing solutions and cloud power systems.
Your collaboration with various engineering teams will be essential in defining, implementing, and validating firmware architectures. In addition, experience with AI-assisted tools will enhance your contributions to the team.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate across teams for optimal firmware design
- Develop and validate firmware architecture specifications
- Debug and maintain firmware on custom hardware
- Contribute to Agile planning and task updates
- Leverage AI tools for enhanced development processes
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of embedded firmware experience
- Proficiency in C with knowledge of assembly
- Experience with microprocessor systems and protocols
- Detail-oriented and able to manage project deadlines
