Become a key player in onsemi’s firmware engineering team in Waterloo as a Low-Level Firmware Engineer focused on embedded systems and power management solutions. This role emphasizes collaborative project work and advanced firmware techniques.
As part of the team, you will apply your deep knowledge of embedded firmware to develop and validate architecture specifications while debugging firmware on custom hardware. You’ll collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and leverage AI tools to optimize the development process in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate across teams for optimal firmware design
• Develop and validate firmware architecture specifications
• Debug and maintain firmware on custom hardware
• Contribute to Agile planning and task updates
• Leverage AI tools for enhanced development processes
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of embedded firmware experience
• Proficiency in C and assembly language
• Familiarity with microprocessor systems and protocols
• Strong attention to detail and deadline management
