Position: Lead Software Engineer for Desktop Applications
Location: Southwestern Ontario

Transform Windows desktop experiences with Speechify in Waterloo, Canada. This senior engineering role calls for innovative design, advanced technical skills, and dedication to user accessibility.

In this position, you will spearhead the development of native Windows applications utilizing Windows App SDK and WinUI.

Your role will involve enforcing coding standards to enhance the product's reliability and user satisfaction. By working closely with product teams, you’ll ensure that features are user-friendly and accessible, reaching millions across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop robust Windows desktop applications

• Define high-performance coding standards and best practices

• Drive efforts to enhance accessibility within applications

• Collaborate on UI/UX design and planning

• Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience developing Windows applications

• Proficiency in C#, XAML, WinUI, and C++

• Strong background in application architecture and design

• Knowledge of accessibility APIs in software development

• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
