Lead technical advancements as a Senior Embedded Systems Developer lize your expertise in C/POSIX to architect and validate complex IoT firmware solutions.

As a Senior Developer, you will guide architectural decisions, mentor teammates, and oversee the development of firmware for Geotab’s IoT devices. This role emphasizes the importance of modular software practices and requires strong skills in embedded Linux and RTOS environments. You will play a key role in project management and support continuous improvement within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical initiatives across team roadmaps

• Develop and validate firmware from concept to production

• Mentor junior developers to enhance team deliverables

• Establish test-driven frameworks for software development

• Guide stakeholders on technical decisions and trade-offs

Requirements:

• Expertise in C/POSIX and object-oriented design

• Experience with real-time operating systems

• Proficient in multithreaded embedded systems

• Strong troubleshooting skills for embedded issues

• Familiarity with CI/CD and scripting (Python, Bash)
