Overview
Prairie Helicopters Inc. provides charter helicopter services in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Northwest Ontario and Nunavut. Prairie Helicopters’ main hanger is located in Gimli, Manitoba with three additional bases in Manitoba including Hudson Bay Helicopters in Churchill, Manitoba.
We are seeking highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) to work on site and in the field. Reporting to the Production Manager, AMEs are responsible for conducting inspections, troubleshooting aircraft defects, maintaining, and making repairs and upgrades to aircrafts to ensure proper and safe operation.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot aircraft structural, mechanical, hydraulic, fuel and electrical systems to identify defects and adjust/repair systems in accordance with regulatory standards and maintenance manual procedures.
- Perform and document routine scheduled and emergency maintenance as required.
- Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines, and other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul and cleaning. Reassemble components and airframes.
- Install and modify aircraft engines, mechanical, fuel, and electrical systems.
- Apply instructions of the applicable regulatory, OEM and company manuals to execute assigned maintenance and repairs.
- Accurate completion and certification of logbooks, work orders, and associated maintenance records.
- Plan and perform scheduled maintenance in accordance with the maintenance forecast.
- Work effectively in a team environment to maintain a high level of production.
- Provide mentorship to assigned apprentice AMEs.
- Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all workplace safety and health regulations, policies, procedures, and compliances.
- Travel to remote locations as needed to repair and maintain aircrafts in the field.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must hold a valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License with an M1 or M2 rating.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- A satisfactory criminal record check is a condition of employment.
- A valid driver’s license is a condition of employment.
- Ability to travel, on short notice.
- Ability to lift and carry tools, supplies, material and equipment, including the operation of hand, air and power tools. Ability to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders and stairs.
- Proficiency in English.
- Must provide own tools.

Bell 206, 206
Ls, 407, 427, 212.
