On-call Rural Mail Carrier in Elgin

Location: Southwestern Ontario

Drive through Ontario’s beautiful countryside as an on-call Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier for Canada Post in Elgin. Safely deliver mail in varying weather conditions while enjoying the independence that comes with the role.

As a temporary on-call relief employee for Canada Post, you’ll ensure timely mail collection and delivery in Elgin and nearby communities. This role requires adept sorting skills, knowledge of local infrastructure, and the ability to lift heavy packages. Your commitment to safety and operational guidelines will ensure reliable service for all customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort, collect, and deliver mail items efficiently

• Maintain knowledge of local roads and delivery points

• Process change notifications and other CPC services

• Secure all mail items during delivery

• Wear Canada Post identification visibly at all times

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license (class 5 or G)

• Safe driving record (driver’s abstract required)

• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs/22.7 kg

• Experience driving in various weather conditions

• Vehicle must meet Canada Post specifications
