Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked
  • Review previous medical information and gather updated health information to inform the provider
  • Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures; coordinate with contracted labs for additional tests
  • Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care
  • Front desk duties including patient scheduling, medical record requests and abstraction, documentation, coordinating referrals and care outside the clinic, check-in and check-out
  • Record accurate data in the medical record according to documentation guidelines
  • Process test results and convey timely results via e-message, mail or phone per Provider instructions
  • Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups
  • Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments
About You / Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care (may vary based on clinic needs)
  • Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program
  • National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable
  • CPR/BLS certification required at start date
  • Phlebotomy experience is preferred
