Registered Nurse – RNPinnacle Treatment Centers is a growing leader in addiction treatment services, caring for more than 30,000 patients nationwide each day. This position will monitor and coordinate all nursing and medical care of patients in the absence of the Director of Nursing, providing medical services directly to patients while maintaining thorough, compliant records.

- Registered Nurse in the state of employment
- Prior experience with chemical addiction and/or mental health disease including psychopharmacology
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in substance abuse and/or mental health field
- Ability to triage emergencies and assist nurses with medical emergencies
- Three (3) years experience with chemical addiction and/or mental disorders including psychopharmacology
- Psychopharmacotherapy experience
- 1–3 years in mental/behavioral health
- 1–3 years in chemical/substance abuse
- Screen and assess patients for co‑existing medical problems to determine appropriate placement.
- Administer medications/treatments as ordered, following state and federal regulations.
- Ensure accurate recording of medication administrations.
- Follow physician’s treatment plan and facilitate its implementation.
- Educate patients in group processes covering chemical dependency, infectious disease, medical and mental health issues.
- Administer and document Mantoux tests for teammates.
- Assess patient responses to treatments and medications, including interactions and effectiveness.
- Document and summarize nursing care, communicating changes and immediate needs to providers.
- Order medical supplies, maintain inventory records as required by regulation.
- Handle medical records, including charts, medication logs, progress notes, and doctor’s orders.
- Arrange physician appointments and follow up on labs and appointments.
- Provide counseling on personal hygiene, abnormal lab results, HIV testing, and other medical matters.
- Discuss treatment changes with physicians and team.
- Refer patients to specialized care (e.g., Planned Parenthood, prenatal clinic, HIV testing sites) and follow up.
- Assist in organizing transfers between care levels.
- Train teammates in medical conditions and patient care.
- Maintain continuing education credits as required by the Board of Nursing.
- Attend team meetings and complete training courses on time.
- Assist the doctor during physical examinations as needed.
- Keep medication room clean and orderly; maintain medical equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
