• Administers medication (e.g., oral, intramuscular, and intravenous) and monitors patient medication compliance
• Performs treatments and assists with nurse’s sick call
• Assists with doctor’s sick call
• Manages nursing care in chronic clinics
• Responds to emergencies with emergency care and CPR
• Performs patient assessments and documents findings
• Collects specimens
• Prepares patients for transfer or release, reviewing care and summaries
• Ensures timely medication orders and pharmacy forwarding
• Participates in training and exercises
• Supports healthcare staff and investigates concerns
• Reviews shift reports and assists physicians
• Assumes duties of absent nurses
• Provides patient education on health maintenance and prevention
• Engages in quality assurance and training new staff
• Serves as a resource for healthcare and security staff
• Provides orientation and training at the Nursing Supervisor’s direction
• Acts as the lead clinical authority in the absence of senior staff
• Participates in group programming and wellness initiatives
• Performs administrative duties, including scheduling and inventory management
• Assists ancillary staff as needed

Starting pay is approximately $88,000 based on location/shift assignments.

Ohio has joined the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), allowing multistate practice with a single license in participating states.

DRC is a “qualifying employer” for the federal Public Service Student Loan Forgiveness program.

Requires current Ohio RN licensure as issued by the Board of Nursing.
