About the role- Ownership of the Accounts Receivable function
- Ownership of the Accounts Payable process
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Cross system reconciliations with large data sets
- Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations including bank, accruals, prepayments and other key accounts
- Provide cover for the Financial Controller
- Ad-hoc requests and project work as required
- Part qualified Accountant or looking to start studying and keen to progress, with 1-3 years experience.
- Solid understanding of core accounting functions: double entry, AP, AR, accruals, and prepayments
- Attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets: up to and including vlookups
- Detail-oriented, proactive, able to prioritise and eager to learn within a high-performing finance team
- Team player: happy to work collaboratively and support where needed
- Experience in a complex billing environment
- Familiarity with automated payment methods (eg Stripe, GoCardless or automated billing platforms)
