Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant - Fully Remote

This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant / Semi Senior to join a modern firm of accountants and work remotely.

This is a small / owner managed practice with an impressive client base - many of which are technology based businesses.

Reporting to the Directors, you will already have at least two years experience of working for a firm of accountants, knowledge of Xero is also preferred.

The role is varied and may suit an active AAT or ACCA studier, although non studiers will also be considered.

The main duties will involve working with a wide range of SME / Limited Companies and will involve:

• Preparation of year-end accounts
• Producing monthly management accounts
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Some Bookkeeping and Payroll
• Ad hoc administrative duties and project work.

To secure this role, applicants will have the following:

• At least two years experience of working within an accounts practice
• A good understanding of Xero
• Self motivated and well organised
• Strong communication skills
