Position Summary
Focus Financial partner firm, Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, is seeking an Accounts Production Assistant Manager. The role is responsible for supporting the business management groups with day-to-day financial control functions for our UK and international entertainment client base while working closely with our tax department. The Accounts Production Assistant Manager reports directly to the head of the accounts department. The position is based in our London office on a full-time basis, with potential for hybrid working following a 4-month probation.
Hybrid work arrangements may be adjusted or altered to fill the needs of the role, including potentially working in-office for 3+ days per week.
- Preparation of year-end accounts including statutory accounts for limited companies and LLPs under FRS
102 1A, partnership and sole trader accounts. - Preparation of annual accounts for a portfolio of clients for Director and Managing Director review, including job planning, liaising with internal business management departments to resolve year-end accounting queries, liaising with client account teams when appropriate, preparing Excel working papers, completing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts when required, inputting Quick Books trial balances into CCH accounts production program, preparing notes to the accounts based on appropriate accounting standards, considering accounting policy issues such as income recognition under FRS 102, preparing list of points for Director and Managing Director attention, and preparing accounts from incomplete records.
- Preparation of draft corporation tax computations for tax department review.
- Assisting bookkeepers and accounts semi-seniors with accounting issues that arise during the year.
- Assisting with the preparation/reviewing of VAT returns.
- Managing company secretarial matters including preparation of annual confirmation statements and company formation.
- Supervising and training junior staff.
- Assisting with the maintenance of the CCH client database.
- Preparing management accounts.
- Ad hoc projects including business plans and cash flow forecasts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and consultative skills.
- Comfort communicating across all levels of the organization.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Familiarity with CCH and Quick Books is highly preferred.
Compensation
:
Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidate information, including education and work experience, is verified upon an offer of employment.
