Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established accountancy practice in central London to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team within a growing practice, where you will work with a varied client portfolio and play a key role in delivering high-quality bookkeeping and financial support services.

Your key responsibilities as the Bookkeeper:
Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across a range of industries.
Processing purchase and sales ledgers accurately and efficiently.
Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
Assisting with month-end reporting and management accounts preparation.
Maintaining accurate financial records for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Liaising with clients to resolve queries and ensure smooth financial processes.
Supporting accountants and senior team members with ad hoc duties as required.

To be considered for this Bookkeeper role, you will require:
Previous experience in a bookkeeping role, ideally within an accountancy practice.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT regulations.
Confident using accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, Sage, or similar.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple client deadlines.
