Role

Audit of Tax Senior Manager – responsible for leading tax audit and tax accounting work across a range of large, high‑profile engagements.

• Lead tax audits on large, high‑profile engagements and act as the primary point of contact with the main audit team.
• Work closely with junior staff and tax partners to deliver audit work and ensure high quality standards.
• Provide tax accounting support to non‑audit clients on complex provisioning engagements, GAAP conversions, carve‑out accounting and acquisition accounting.
• Manage ad‑hoc, project‑based engagements across different BDO teams, applying tax accounting knowledge in varied contexts.
• Serve as a key contact for tax accounting queries across the wider tax and audit practices.
• Co‑ordinate coaching, training and mentoring of junior team members.

• Prior experience of tax accounting and tax auditing with a clear desire to specialise in this area.
• Knowledge of tax accounting under FRS
  102 and IFRS; prior experience of US GAAP is useful but not mandatory.
• General corporate tax experience providing advisory and compliance services to a variety of clients.
• Strong project management skills – meeting agreed deadlines, taking ownership and managing a team.
• Experience coaching and training more junior staff.
• Experience dealing with client senior management and key stakeholders.
• CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
