ACCOUNTS & AUDIT SENIOR Established and highly respected accountancy practice North London location Varied role across accounts, audit and tax Competitive salary & benefits Supportive working environment GPN Recruitment are partnering with a well-established, independent accountancy practice based in North London who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional looking for a varied role within a friendly and supportive firm.
You'll work with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and sole traders across a range of sectors, gaining exposure to accounts, audit and tax work. The role is predominantly focused on accounts preparation and tax compliance, whilst also offering regular audit exposure (approximately 25% of the role) and the opportunity to review work prepared by junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns Preparing and reviewing VAT returns Preparing personal tax returns Working on / leading audit assignments from planning through to completion (approximately 25% of the role) Liaising directly with clients and responding to day-to-day queries Supporting with ad hoc assignments and technical projects
Qualifications & Skills ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or qualified by experience with relevant practice experience Recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice Confident in preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns Personal tax experience Capable of leading audits from planning to completion, or experience in assisting on audits Strong communication and organisational skills What You'll Get: A genuinely varied role across accounts, audit and tax Exposure to a broad and interesting client portfolio Opportunity to further develop your review and technical skills Friendly, collaborative and supportive team environment Competitive salary and benefits If you are interested in this role, please do apply now.
