We have an exciting opportunity for an Audit Semi Senior / Audit Senior in our London, Haymarket office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified audit professional to take on a varied and hands‑on role, managing audit engagements end-to‑end while supporting and developing junior team members. The position offers strong client exposure and the chance to play a key role in delivering high‑quality audit services within a collaborative practice environment.
Key responsibilities of an Audit Semi Senior / Audit Senior will include:- Plan and manage audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring delivery within deadlines, budgets, and required quality standards
- Lead audit fieldwork by executing audit procedures effectively, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring timely completion
- Supervise, review, and support junior team members by providing guidance, feedback, and ongoing coaching to aid their development
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and communicating audit progress and findings clearly and professionally
- Prepare and review accurate audit documentation and support the production of clear, concise audit reports
- Ensure all audit work complies with relevant standards, regulations, and internal quality procedures while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism
- ACA or ACCA qualified with at least two years’ post‑qualification experience and a strong understanding of audit and accounting standards gained within a practice environment
- Experience using audit and accounting systems, with knowledge of CCH (preferred) as well as Xero and Sage
- Proven experience working within an accountancy practice, managing audit assignments and working with a variety of clients
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with at least intermediate Excel skills
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality across all aspects of audit work
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and deliver practical, effective solutions
- Clear and confident communication skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and colleagues at all levels
