Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and looking for an opportunity to grow within a busy finance environment? WPS is seeking a Processing Assistant (Expenses) to join our team in Finsbury Park and play a key role in supporting our supplier payment and employee expense processes.
The RoleReporting to the Processing Manager, you will be responsible for processing employee expenses and supplier invoices, ensuring payments are made accurately and on time, and maintaining compliance with company procedures and HMRC regulations. Working closely with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders, you will help ensure financial information is accurate, queries are resolved efficiently and key business systems remain up to date.
Key Responsibilities- Process employee expense claims accurately and within agreed timescales
- Review claims to ensure compliance with company policy and HMRC guidelines
- Verify costs are correctly coded and allocated
- Identify and raise duplicate, fraudulent or non‑compliant claims
- Process supplier invoices and support payment runs
- Resolve invoice and expense queries promptly and professionally
- Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate records
- Assist with month‑end activities, reporting, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Administration, Expense Administration or a similar role
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- COINS system experience
- Construction industry experience
- Experience processing high volumes of transactions
