Accounts & Audit Senior £45,000-£55,000 + bonus + benefits Central London | Hybrid working
I'm working with a highly personable Top 100 accountancy firm that is looking to appoint an Accounts & Audit Senior into its Central London office.
This is a strong opportunity for an ACA or ACCA finalist or newly qualified accountant who wants to keep a broad general practice skill set, rather than being pushed into a narrow specialism.
The role will be approximately 70-80% accounts focused, but you must have experience across both accounts and audit. Tax experience would also be useful, as this is one of the few larger general practitioner firms remaining, with staff gaining exposure across accounts, audit and tax.
The RoleYou will work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs across a broad mix of sectors, with most clients reporting under FRS 102.
- Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102
- Preparing management accounts
- Supporting and carrying out audit assignments
- Working across a varied portfolio of OMB and SME clients
- Liaising directly with clients and building strong relationships
- Supporting tax work where appropriate
- Using Case Ware and Xero as the main systems
- Managing deadlines and delivering accurate, high-quality work
The firm is looking for someone technically capable, personable and comfortable dealing with both clients and colleagues.
You will ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA finalist status, or be newly qualified
- Experience in both accounts preparation and audit within practice
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102
- Experience preparing statutory and management accounts
- Good communication and client-facing skills
- Experience using Case Ware and Xero would be beneficial
- Tax experience would be an advantage
- A collaborative, professional and personable approach
This firm offers something increasingly rare in the London market: the size and client base of a Top 100 practice, while still allowing people to develop as genuine all-round advisers.
Progression path:
Senior → Manager → Partner Designate → Partner
You will also benefit from:
- £45,000-£55,000 + bonus + benefits
- Hybrid working, with 2-3 days per week in the Central London office
- Broad exposure across accounts, audit and tax
- A varied OMB and SME client base
- Clear long-term progression
- A friendly, personable and client-focused culture
- An ASAP start available
This would suit someone who wants breadth, client contact and a clear route forward within a well-established and genuinely personable firm.
