Trainee Accountant – UK Visa Sponsorship

Our well-respected City of London accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant to join our growing team. This role offers the prospective individual the chance to gain hands on experience working with a wide range of clients across a number of different industries. It’s a great chance for someone wishing to grow their technical competence and progress their professional career in a supportive and dynamic atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  • Bookkeeping, payroll and VAT returns.
  • Managing financial management and keeping electronic documentation systems.
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements from source data/trial balances.
  • Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Responding to internal and client enquiries on financial data.
  • Preparing tax calculations and returns.
  • Direct contact with clients and supporting senior personnel and managers.
  • Compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Skills and Experience
  • Academic background in Accounting or Finance (degree level or similar).
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Experience with accounting software packages such Sage, Xero and Quick Books is desirable.
  • Experience in payroll, personal tax or corporation tax processes would be an advantage.
  • High level of attention to detail and correctness.
  • Great time management and organising abilities.
  • Clear, professional and excellent written and vocal communication skills.
  • Friendly and self-assured while dealing with clients.
  • Ability to operate both independently and in a team.
