Position Summary
Focus Financial partner firm, Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, is seeking an Account Manager.
The Account Manager serves as the primary day‑to‑day contact for clients, managing financial operations, supervising staff, and ensuring seamless execution of business management services.
This position will be based out of our London office on a full‑time basis, with potential for hybrid working following a 4‑month probation. The hybrid work arrangement may be adjusted to include in‑office work 3+ days per week.
Primary Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact for clients, managers, tour manager, booking agents, insurance brokers, banks and other representatives, ensuring smooth communication and exceptional service
- Manage and supervise bookkeeping staff, providing training, reviewing work, guidance, and performance oversight such as annual appraisals
- Oversee financial operations including but not limited to income collection, bill payments, payroll coordination, reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow forecasting, cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and year‑end files
- Coordinate insurance reviews, policy placements, and claims, ensuring appropriate coverage and timely compliance
- Manage tour and project accounting, including budget management, settlements, reimbursements, and adherence to international tax requirements
- Prepare and deliver clear client reporting such as management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Support clients with ad hoc financial projects, including tax‑related information requests, financing and mortgage applications, and other business initiatives as required
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA) preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting and business management
- Prior experience accounting for music industry and/or touring musicians is highly preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Leadership experience with a focus on staff development and mentoring
- Excellent verbal and written communication and consultative skills with comfort communicating across all levels of the organization
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
