Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)

We are supporting a leading international insurance organisation in the search for an Accountant to join their growing Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant with insurance experience to gain exposure across controllership, financial reporting, reconciliations and finance transformation projects within a specialist insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end close, general ledger activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data through strong controls and review processes.
• Support reporting requirements, including regulatory and reinsurance-related submissions.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues, data anomalies and process improvements.
• Work closely with Finance, Actuarial and wider business stakeholders.
• Contribute to finance change initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

About You:

• Part or newly qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
• Previous insurance industry experience essential.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with multiple finance systems.
• Experience with reconciliations, reporting and financial controls.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
• Power Query, Power BI or Snowflake.
• Coding or automation experience/interest.
