Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant Annual Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

High Wycombe Job Type: Full-time, Office-based (08:30 - 16:30) We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team. This standalone position requires strong initiative and the ability to manage day-to-day finance operations independently, with support from the Group Finance team when needed. Day-to-day of the role:
Accounts Receivable:
Manage customer accounts, follow up on outstanding payments, and liaise with the sales team. Accounts Payable:
Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and reconcile goods received. Proformas:
Set up and maintain proforma invoices within the system. Month-End Processes:
Prepare and post journals for accruals, prepayments, and assets, and produce a trading trial balance. Payroll:
Minimal involvement—primarily transferring payroll funds to the bank account. Export Support: 75% of business is export-related (sales administration team handles export documentation). Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role, from within a manufacturing environment (ESSENTIAL) Actively studying towards CIMA certification (ESSENTIAL - NOT ACCA) Proficiency with financial software, preferably Oncore and Xero. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Information:
