Bookkeeper

We're looking for an organised and motivated Bookkeeper to join our expanding team in Jesmond. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with bookkeeping experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to further develop their career within a supportive accountancy practice. Working as part of our Outsourcing team, you'll play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management information and supporting the smooth delivery of day-to-day accounting services.

The role also offers genuine opportunities to broaden your technical knowledge, with the potential to develop into accounts preparation for the right candidate.

The Role As a Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for:
Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records. Preparing monthly management accounts. Completing VAT returns accurately and on time. Processing financial information using cloud accounting software. Reconciling bank and control accounts. Supporting the wider team with day-to-day accounting activities. Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes. About You We're looking for someone who has:
Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice or similar environment. Experience preparing management accounts and VAT returns. Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books or Sage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. A proactive approach with good problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
