You will play a key role in managing group consolidation, intercompany and foreign exchange activity, balance sheet reconciliations, and technical accounting matters across the business.

Acting as a key source of technical accounting knowledge, you will partner with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to ensure accounting standards are met for existing operations and new opportunities, while supporting efficient audit delivery and continuous improvement across reporting processes.

Who you are
  • Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in financial reporting.
  • Background in audit practice, with experience preparing or reviewing audit deliverables and supporting statutory reporting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of group consolidation, intercompany transactions and foreign exchange, ideally within a multi-entity business.
  • Experience with statutory accounts preparation under FRS 102, Local GAAP and IFRS would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of IFRS 16 leases is desirable, with confidence interpreting technical accounting guidance and applying it in practice.
  • Strong Excel skills, with experience using Microsoft Business Central desirable.
  • Exposure to Jet Reporting, Power Query and Power BI would be advantageous.
  • Highly organised and detail-focused, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders, meet deadlines and support the wider finance team.
What you'll be doing
  • Overseeing the Group consolidation process, including intercompany transactions and foreign exchange.
  • Supporting monthly Group financial reporting, preparing internal group reporting deliverables and responding to ad hoc analysis requests.
  • Preparing statutory accounts in line with FRS 102 and Local GAAP for subsidiaries, and IFRS for group reporting.
  • Supporting statutory reporting requirements including s172, SECR, UK corporation tax and foreign corporation tax matters.
  • Owning designated balance sheet accounts, preparing monthly and quarterly reconciliations, and resolving queries.
  • Coordinating the wider finance team to deliver high-quality and timely balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing interim and year-end external audit deliverables, coordinating audit queries and supporting parent group and subsidiary audits.
  • Acting as a technical accounting expert for the business, supporting IFRS 16 lease accounting, FP&A forecasting and budgeting requirements, internal audit requests and other accounting projects as required.
What we’ll do for you
  • Competitive salary and company bonus.
  • Up to 65% employee discount.
  • Access to exclusive sample sales.
  • Health and wellbeing services.
  • Enhanced parental leave policies.
  • Electric Vehicle scheme via Octopus Energy.
  • Cycle to Work programme.
  • Season ticket travel loan.
  • Plus further workplace benefits.
