Sr. Accountant - Manufacturing Sector

About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join our finance team within an international manufacturing group based in London. The role focuses on end-to-end accounting tasks, financial reporting, and supporting budgeting activities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis

Drive the month-end close process: journals, accruals, and prepayments

Support year-end statutory and group reporting requirements

Maintain and reconcile general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable

Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts

Liaise with auditors and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits

Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and company policies

Work collaboratively with operations, procurement, and supply chain functions to resolve accounting queries

Support process improvements and implementation of best accounting practices

Qualifications & ExperienceACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or finalist)4–8 years accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial business

Strong knowledge of management reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls

Proficient in Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Good communication skills and a proactive mindset
