We are working with a highly regarded business management firm that supports an impressive portfolio of clients across music, media and entertainment.
They are looking for a qualified accountant to join their specialist team as a Senior Accountant. This is a senior, client-facing role combining portfolio management, team leadership and technical accounting responsibility.
You will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, acting as their principal point of contact while overseeing the quality and delivery of work across the team. The role would suit someone who enjoys building trusted client relationships, developing others and maintaining high standards across a busy portfolio.
Key responsibilities:- Managing a portfolio of music and entertainment clients and acting as the primary relationship lead
- Overseeing accounts preparation, tax compliance and financial reporting
- Reviewing and signing off work to ensure technical accuracy and quality
- Leading, mentoring and developing junior members of the team
- Allocating work and managing workflow, deadlines and team capacity
- Handling complex client queries and providing clear, commercially focused advice
- Managing billing, WIP and resource allocation across the portfolio
- Collaborating with specialist teams, including Tax and Royalties, to provide a joined-up service
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and client delivery
- Supporting wider departmental projects and business initiatives
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge gained within an accountancy practice or business management environment
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients and delivering a high-quality service
- Previous experience leading, supervising or mentoring junior team members
- Confident reviewing accounts and overseeing compliance work
- Commercial awareness, including an understanding of billing and WIP
- Excellent organisational, communication and delegation skills
- A proactive and accountable approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience working with music, media or entertainment clients would be highly advantageous
