Job Summary Accounts Manager Job Fulham offers an experienced accounts professional ownership of a broad standalone finance function. This full-time role supports a design and project delivery practice based in Fulham. The position covers daily accounts management alongside forecasting, financial foresight and cash flow reporting.
You will support financial planning and reporting as the business continues its next phase of growth. Responsibilities include invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, expenses and support for yearly accounts preparation. The Accounts Manager Job Fulham also supports rolling forecasts, budgets and regular reporting for senior management.
You will work with Xero, Microsoft Office and construction management software across the accounts function. The role suits someone comfortable managing priorities independently after receiving appropriate guidance and process information. Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills are important for supporting wider group reporting requirements.
About the Company This design and project delivery practice team is small, with ten internal staff. This position operates with a high level of autonomy over its own workload. The working environment is professional, and the role supports both daily accounts activity and wider financial planning.
Role & Responsibilities Oversee the accounts inbox and ensure timely, accurate responses to relevant financial queries
Process payments, invoices, income and receipts accurately while maintaining clear financial records
Enter financial data into construction management software to support efficient invoice processing workflows
Reconcile accounts using Xero while maintaining accuracy across day-to-day bookkeeping and account records
Manage employee expense claims and ensure supporting documentation and appropriate approvals are in place
Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts, budgets and financial forecasts to support wider group planning
Produce regular cash flow reports and financial analysis highlighting relevant risks and opportunities
Skills & Experience Required Bring five or more years of accountancy experience, with construction industry experience preferred
Demonstrate strong bookkeeping knowledge and practical experience managing day-to-day accounts responsibilities independently
Show strong numerical and analytical skills supporting forecasting, cash flow reporting and financial planning
Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with team members, suppliers and external advisers
Adapt quickly to new software, including the practice’s construction management software and related processes
Use Microsoft Office to a high standard, including advanced Excel and strong general technical ability
Understand construction VAT and CIS requirements, with training available where additional knowledge is needed
Salary & Benefits
45,000 – 50,000
Full-time working pattern across five days per week Flexible hours on request

Who Is This Role Ideal For?
This role suits an experienced, organised and proactive Accounts Manager who enjoys owning a varied accounts function. You should be comfortable working independently and managing your workload without a micromanaged working environment. Strong bookkeeping experience is important, alongside confidence supporting forecasting, cash flow reporting and business planning.
You will need advanced Excel skills and the ability to learn unfamiliar software quickly.
Experience with in construction or design is preferred, although candidates from other industries can be considered.
