Group Finance Project Manager – Forensic Accounting
£130,000–£145,000 | 12 Month FTC | London | 4–5 days office based
I’m working with a leading global investment management business looking to hire an experienced Group Finance Project Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting directly to the Global Head of Group Finance, this is a senior, hands-on forensic accounting and finance project role
, focused on investigating and resolving historical accounting issues, improving the quality of group reporting and strengthening financial controls across a complex international business.
The successful candidate will take ownership of a range of projects including:
- Forensic review and resolution of historical accounting entries and balances
- Reviewing historical consolidation journals and determining appropriate accounting treatment
- Retained earnings and balance sheet reconciliation projects
- Strengthening balance sheet controls and reconciliation processes
- Reviewing and improving reporting across co-investment structures
- Supporting improvements to UK and global finance processes
- Assisting with consolidated financial statements and statutory reporting
- Implementing stronger financial accounting and reporting controls across the global platform
- Strong use of Hyperion / HFM
We’re looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience and a strong background in forensic accounting
, technical accounting and financial control.
You’ll need strong IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge, consolidation experience (
Hyperion/HFM
), excellent balance sheet and financial control expertise, and the ability to investigate complex historical accounting issues and drive them through to resolution.
You’ll also need strong executive presence and the confidence to engage credibly with Board-level stakeholders, auditors and other senior parties, alongside the ability to work autonomously and deliver against demanding deadlines.
This would particularly suit someone with a background in F
orensic Accounting, Group Finance, Financial Control or Technical Accounting who enjoys project-based work and can come into a complex environment, identify historical issues and get them resolved.
12-month FTC
London – ideally 4–5 days per week in the office
