Senior Accountant

We're working with an established and growing general practice in Liverpool who are looking to add an Accountant to their team. It's a friendly, supportive firm with a strong focus on client relationships and giving their team the opportunity to progress.

You'll work with a varied portfolio of mainly SME and owner-managed businesses, covering a broad mix of accounts, tax and general practice work. It's a hands-on role with plenty of client interaction, so you'll have the chance to become a trusted contact for your clients rather than just working behind the scenes. What you'll be doing Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.

Completing VAT returns, management accounts and tax returns. Looking after a portfolio of clients and building strong working relationships. Handling bookkeeping and helping clients with their accounting systems. Dealing with day-to-day client queries and providing practical accountancy advice. Working alongside the wider team to make sure clients receive a high level of service. What we're looking for Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice.

Experience preparing accounts for SME and owner-managed businesses. A good understanding of VAT, bookkeeping and general practice accounts. AAT qualified, ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified, or someone who has built their experience through practice. Someone confident dealing with clients, commercially minded and keen to continue developing their career.
