Head of Finance

Location: Central London, 5 days a week in office

The opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing and profitable B2B technology company headquartered in London. The business works with large international organisations and has experienced significant growth over recent years.

They are now looking for a Head of Finance to take ownership of the finance function and help build the infrastructure needed for the company's next stage of growth.

Reporting into the executive team, you will combine hands‑on financial leadership with the opportunity to improve systems, introduce greater automation and influence commercial decision‑making across the business.

This would suit someone who enjoys building rather than inheriting a large, established finance function.

What you will be doing

• Taking ownership of the day‑to‑day finance function, including billing, collections, revenue reporting and financial controls.
• Improving and automating finance processes, reducing manual work wherever possible.
• Leading month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reporting and ensuring accurate, timely financial information.
• Managing the accounting requirements of a growing international technology business across multiple jurisdictions.
• Overseeing tax, cash management, audit processes and relationships with external advisers.
• Partnering with the leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and commercial decision‑making.
• Reviewing and improving the systems and processes used across the finance function as the company scales.
• Managing relationships with banks, suppliers and other external partners.

What our client is looking for

• A professionally qualified accountant, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
• Strong finance experience within a high‑growth B2B SaaS or technology company.
• Experience managing billing and revenue processes within a software business with non‑standard or complex commercial agreements.
• Experience working across UK and international accounting requirements.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge alongside a commercial mindset.
• Experience building or significantly improving finance processes, controls and systems.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment where you will remain close to the detail.
• A strong interest in using technology and automation to create a more efficient finance function.
