Fund Accountant – Closed-Ended Private Markets
London | Hybrid
Join a growing private markets investment manager where your own progression can develop alongside the growth of the firm.
As the platform raises further capital, launches new vehicles and expands its investment activity, the finance function is growing with it. This creates an opportunity for a Fund Accountant to join at an important stage and take on greater responsibility as the business develops.
The role will provide broad exposure across the accounting and financial management of a portfolio of closed-ended private markets funds
.
The Role
You will take ownership across:
- Fund accounting and financial oversight across a portfolio of closed-ended funds
- Review of NAVs, management accounts and reporting produced by third-party administrators
- Capital calls, distributions and investor activity
- Cash management, liquidity and fund-level cash flows
- Fund expenses, management fees, accruals and investor allocations
- Financial statements, annual audits and statutory reporting
- Oversight and challenge of third-party administrators
- Accounting requirements around acquisitions, disposals and wider fund activity
- Financial analysis, controls and process improvements
You will work closely with the investment, operations and wider finance teams, developing an understanding of the funds, their structures and underlying investments beyond the accounting itself.
The Candidate
We are looking for someone with direct closed-ended fund accounting experience across private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure or a comparable private markets strategy.
You should understand the underlying accounting and be comfortable reviewing and challenging administrator output rather than simply relying on it.
The Opportunity
The attraction is where the role can go.
As the firm grows, the remit should grow with it, more funds, greater complexity, broader ownership and increased exposure across the investment business.
For someone looking to build a longer-term career in fund finance,
progression here is intrinsically linked to the growth of the platform.
