Senior Management Accountant

Salary Guide: £70,000 - £80,000, Depending on Experience

Our client, a leading technology platform, is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their team for an initial 12-month period. This is a hands-on role, working closely with the Financial Controller to support audit and take full ownership of the management accounts. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with post-qualified experience in industry. This role requires an immediate start.

The responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant include, but are not limited to:

• Own the management accounting month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements including supporting materials and be the first point of contact for auditor queries.
• Work on technical judgements around intangible assets and impairment testing.
• Support the Financial Controller on tax computations and claims.
• Work on consolidations and the intercompany matrix.
• Support R&D capitalisation, documenting each stage of the process.
• Assist with process improvement across the function and clearly document for handover.

The skills of the Senior Management Accountant include but are not limited to:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of three years post-qualified experience, ideally in industry.
• Strong IFRS knowledge is essential.
• Confident with goodwill and impairment testing, acquisition accounting and consolidation.
• Experience in a PE-backed or group environment would be beneficial.
• Previous experience in software or SaaS is desirable.
• Strong Excel skills are essential, and Net Suite is advantageous.
