Join a leading construction firm based in Central London as an Accounts Payable Assistant. This opportunity is for someone comfortable in a high volume, fast paced and multi-entity environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Process and verify purchase invoices in line with company procedures and contract requirements.
• Ensure invoices are accurately matched to purchase orders and Goods Received notes, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Code and enter purchase ledger data into the accounting system accurately and timely.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to address any invoice or payment-related queries.
• Ensure payments are processed according to contract terms and compliance requirements.
• Liaise with members of the wider business to ensure project costs are accurately reflected in the ledger.
• Prepare and maintain the accounts payable ledger, ensuring all payments are processed on time and in accordance with supplier terms.
• Perform regular reconciliations of supplier accounts, resolving any discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
