Management Accountant

Management Accountant Bury Permanent - on-site £40,000 - £45,000 DOE Are you a qualified or nearly qualified Management Accountant looking for a role where you can take ownership of month-end and develop your technical and commercial skills? This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive finance team, working across three trading entities. You'll have a varied role covering management accounts, reconciliations, journals, VAT, controls and financial analysis, with plenty of scope to develop.

What You'll Be Doing Own month-end activities across three entities
· Prepare and review P&L and balance sheet accounts
· Post journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
· Complete and review bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
· Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
· Handle more hands-on accounting duties including AP, AR, fixed assets and VAT where required
· Investigate financial trends, variances and unusual movements
· Support audit and SOX control requirements
· Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting
· Build strong relationships with operational and commercial teams What We're Looking For ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified, nearly qualified or qualified by experience
· Strong understanding of double-entry accounting and month-end processes
· Experience with journals, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
· Strong Excel skills and confidence analysing financial data
· Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot trends and anomalies
· Good communication skills and a proactive approach
· Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
