Audit Senior

The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Senior to join a well-established and growing accountancy and business advisory firm in Blackburn. You'll join a firm with an excellent reputation across the North West and a broad client base of predominantly owner-managed and privately owned businesses. This is a hands-on audit role where you'll take responsibility for assignments from planning through to completion, work directly with clients and play an important part in supporting and developing junior members of the team.

The Role You'll work closely with Audit Managers and senior members of the team to deliver audit assignments across a varied portfolio of clients. Responsibilities will include:
Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion Taking responsibility for all key sections of the audit file Identifying key audit risks and ensuring these are appropriately addressed Preparing and reviewing audit working papers Producing and reviewing financial statements Supervising junior members of the team during audit fieldwork Reviewing work and providing constructive feedback Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout assignments Building strong relationships with finance teams and business owners Managing deadlines and ensuring assignments remain on budget Raising and discussing audit findings with Managers and senior client contacts Supporting the development of trainees and less experienced members of the team Working closely with Managers and Directors on more complex assignments Contributing ideas to improve audit processes and overall client service You'll have the opportunity to develop beyond simply completing audit fieldwork and become increasingly involved in managing assignments, clients and people.
