As an Audit & Accounts Senior / Semi-Senior, you will be responsible for managing audit assignments, preparing statutory accounts, and providing valuable financial insights to clients. • Planning, leading, and completing statutory audits for a varied client portfolio.
• Preparing statutory accounts and financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Reviewing financial information and identifying areas of risk, improvement, and opportunities for clients.
• Assisting with audit planning, fieldwork, and completion assignments.
• Conducting audit testing and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Analysing financial data and presenting findings clearly to clients and senior management.
• Preparing management accounts and supporting clients with financial reporting requirements.
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information, resolve queries, and provide professional guidance.
• Supervising and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
• Working with accounting software including CCH, Xero, and other cloud-based systems.
• Ensuring assignments are completed efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
• Keeping up to date with relevant accounting standards, legislation, and auditing requirements.
