Head of Client Accounts

Collins Property Recruitment is working with an established independent property business seeking an experienced Head of Client Accounts. This is a senior role working closely with Directors, the CFO and Heads of Department, with responsibility for both team leadership and continuous improvement across the function.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Client Accounts team and oversee day-to-day client money operations. Manage reconciliations, payments, invoicing, commissions and month-end reporting. Own client money controls, compliance, audit processes and financial governance. Oversee client and business account banking, payments and payroll. Act as the key contact for auditors, Safe Agent and client money assurance reviews. Ensure accuracy across Reapit, Xero, 360 and other financial systems.

Identify and implement improvements to processes, controls, reporting and automation. Provide financial guidance and act as the senior escalation point for complex matters. Coach and develop the Client Accounts team.

About You:

Significant experience in residential property accounting, client accounting or a similar environment. Minimum 2 years’ experience using Reapit. Strong knowledge of client money, reconciliations, financial controls and compliance. Previous experience managing or supervising a finance/client accounts team. Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills. Confident communicator with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities. ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent qualification is desirable.

Experience with Client Money Protection, Safe Agent, audits or financial systems improvements would be advantageous. What's on
