We’re recruiting for an established and successful accountancy firm looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their friendly and welcoming team in their beautiful modern offices! Working closely with your own portfolio of clients, you’ll play an important role in ensuring payroll of processed accurately and efficiently, while building strong relationships and providing an excellent level of service.
With a 4-day working week , this is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to continue developing their payroll career while enjoying a great work-life balance.
What you’ll be doing :
Managing and processing weekly and monthly payroll for your own portfolio of clients Ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time Calculating salaries, wages, overtime, holiday pay and statutory payments where applicable Preparing and submitting payroll information to HMRC, ensuring deadlines are met Maintaining accurate payroll records and updating employee information Liaising with clients to obtain payroll information and resolve queries Working closely with the internal accounts team to ensure payroll processes run smoothly Handling payroll-related enquiries and producing a professional, friendly service Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and in line with relevant legislation and regulations
About you:
Previous experience within a Payroll Administrator, Payroll Assistant, or similar payroll-focused role Experience processing weekly and monthly payroll accurately and efficiently A good understanding of payroll processes, HMRC requirements, and relevant legislation Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with numbers Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional approach when dealing with clients Someone who enjoys building strong client relationships and providing an excellent level of service A proactive, positive and can-do attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team What’s on offer?
£30,000-£35,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience Part-time position – 4 days per week!
