Accounting Technician​/Chartered Accountant

Position: Accounting Technician / Chartered Accountant
Location: Heathrow

The Role An established accountancy practice is looking to recruit an Accounting Technician or AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified accountant to join its busy Accounts team. You will work with a varied portfolio of personal and business clients, providing accounts and tax compliance services while developing your technical knowledge and professional experience.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare sole trader accounts, personal tax returns, company accounts and corporation tax returns
• Assist with the management of a varied client portfolio
• Provide VAT compliance and related advice
• Communicate with clients and colleagues regarding queries, issues and findings
• Maintain high technical and professional standards
• Support and develop junior members of the team
• Work with Xero and other cloud-based accounting systems
• Manage your own workload and ensure deadlines are met
• Undertake wider accountancy practice duties as required About You
• AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA qualified
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Able to work independently and prioritise effectively
• Good problem-solving and investigative skills
• Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and accounting software
