Finance Manager

My client is a global investment company based in Central London and are looking for a Finance Manager to join the team.

Duties Include:

• Manage, mentor and support a team of Management Accountants.
• Review team workloads and ensure deadlines are met.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Review monthly management accounts prepared by the team.
• Ensure month-end reporting is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Provide in-depth quarterly reviews of all reconciliations
• Review VAT returns prepared by the team prior to submission.
• Assist with VAT compliance across the portfolio of companies and LLPs.
• Support team members with VAT-related queries where required.
• Review the preparation of annual statutory accounts from trial balance through to final accounts.
• Review corporation tax computations and tax returns for all entities and ensure filings are completed on a timely basis.
• Liaise with external auditors and respond to queries.
• Review audit schedules and supporting documentation prepared by the team.
• Ensure audit queries are responded to accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Support the maintenance of robust financial controls and reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies across the team.

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant ACCA/ACA
• Strong accounting, bookkeeping and financial reporting skills, with advanced Excel knowledge.
• Experience reviewing management accounts, VAT returns, statutory accounts and audit deliverables.
• Experience reviewing corporation tax computations.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, hands-on and self-motivated.
• A collaborative team player with the ability to develop and manage staff.
