Accounts and Office Manager

Manage Xero end to end, handle CIS and keep the office running for our client in Holbeck. You’ll work directly with the Managing Director, alongside the QS and external accountant, and have clear written procedures for every process. Accounts & Office Manager Holbeck, Leeds Part-time, Wednesday to Friday: £20,400–£22,800 per year Full-time, five days considered: £34,000–£38,000 per year Office-based Our client is looking for an Accounts & Office Manager to take ownership of its accounts and office administration.

You’ll report to the Managing Director and work alongside the QS and external accountant. Written procedures and flowcharts are in place for every process. What you’ll do Manage Xero end to end, including sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations and VAT returns. Raise sales invoices against certified applications from the QS. Handle CIS as a contractor, including verifications, deductions, monthly CIS
300 returns and subcontractor statements. Manage credit control and chase payments from main contractors. Handle payment notices and set up suppliers and customers. Coordinate ordering, site paperwork, timesheet filing, phones, post and the accounts inbox. What we’re looking for At least three years’ experience in a UK SME accounts role, ideally in construction or with a subcontractor. Confidence using Xero through to trial balance, including the CIS Contractor module.

Working knowledge of Domestic Reverse Charge VAT. The ability to follow a documented process through to completion without supervision. Availability to work at least Wednesday to Friday. AAT Level 3 or 4 and job costing experience would be welcome.
