A well established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants based in Stanmore is seeking an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior / Senior to join their highly successful team.
This opportunity would suit an individual with accountancy practice experience gained working for a UK based firm and who is confident preparing draft statutory accounts and working directly with a varied client portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and limited companies.
The Role
Working closely with the partners and senior team, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing draft statutory accounts from trial balance stage through to completion.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Supporting with the production of management accounts and financial statements.
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting with bookkeeping assignments where required.
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve accounting queries and obtain information.
- Supporting junior members of the team when appropriate.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

The Role

- At least 3+ years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice environment at a semi-senior or senior level.
- The ability to prepare draft accounts with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with a range of SME and owner-managed business clients.
- Good working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, Sage, or similar.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, qualified by experience, or studying towards a professional qualification.
