Senior Cost Engineer - Nuclear

Our client is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to support the reporting, forecasting and financial control of a major nuclear programme at Sizewell

C. This permanent role will suit an experienced cost professional with a strong background in cost management and project controls within complex infrastructure environments. This is a hybrid role based out of London but will require the individual to travel to Ipswich every other week.

You will need to be eligible to obtain a level of security clearnace for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing project cost reporting, forecasting and budget control

Preparing accurate financial reports and performance analysis for senior stakeholders

Supporting cost assurance activities and identifying financial risks, trends and opportunities

Monitoring expenditure against approved budgets, forecasts and project objectives

Working closely with project controls teams to maintain robust cost management processes

Providing clear cost information and insight across a large, complex programme

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Job Requirements:

Significant experience in cost engineering, cost management or project controls

Strong expertise in cost reporting, forecasting and budget management

Experience in cost assurance and project performance analysis

Understanding of financial reporting on major projects and complex programmes

Experience working alongside project controls teams

Ability to interpret and communicate financial data clearly to multidisciplinary stakeholders

Experience with in nuclear, energy, rail, aviation, utilities, highways, defence or another major infrastructure sector

Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
