Assistant Accountant
Notting Hill, London (Hybrid)
Salary £35,000 + Benefits
CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a well-established international consumer brand based in Notting Hill, London, paying £35,000. Our client supplies retail and trade customers across the UK and Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, supportive finance team, take real ownership of day-to-day finance and report directly to senior management. You’ll work alongside an experienced accounts colleague, with support from an external accountant.
The role is office based for a three-month probation, then hybrid with one day a week from home.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Own your sales and purchase ledgers, keeping collections and supplier payments on track
- Allocate receipts and run monthly direct debit collections
- Post bank transactions, reconcile accounts and keep an eye on cash flow
- Run credit checks and chase overdue accounts
- Support month-end, year-end and audit, and cover for your colleague when needed
What Experience is Required
- Solid AR, AP, bank reconciliation and ledger experience, ideally in a commercial business
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP software
- A keen eye for detail; AAT or a bookkeeping qualification is a bonus
Salary & Benefits
A salary of £35,000 is on offer, with hybrid working after probation (one day a week from home) and Monday to Friday hours of 9am to 5:30pm. Full benefits details are available on application.
