Overview
Join ASOS as a Merchandising Assistant and kick start your career in fashion retail. This is the perfect entry point for someone eager to learn, grow, and make an impact in one of the most exciting areas of the business. You will support the Merchandising team to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time, helping deliver the best experience for our customers.
This role is hands on and fast paced. You will work with large volumes of data, learn multiple systems, and develop a sharp eye for detail. It’s admin heavy, but every task contributes to driving sales and shaping our product offering. You will need to be organised, adaptable, and ready to tackle changing priorities head on.
DetailsResponsibilities:
- Maintain accurate product and stock data across systems (data entry, updating spreadsheets).
- Raise and track purchase orders and liaise with suppliers for delivery updates.
- Monitor stock levels and flag issues (e.g., delays, shortages).
- Prepare reports and presentations (sales summaries, stock updates) for team meetings.
- Support promotional and markdown activities by updating systems and checking accuracy.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scheduling, and meeting preparation.
- Collaborate with Buyers and Merchandisers to ensure smooth product flow.
- Support our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
Working arrangement:
Our approach includes spending time in the office; e.g., at least 3 days a week in the office to support collaboration and learning.
You are a collaborative team player with a genuine passion for fashion and a strong connection to the ASOS values:
Authentic, Brave, Creative, Deliver.
Ideally, you will bring some previous admin experience or exposure to office-based tasks, plus an understanding of retail operations or fashion trends—through work experience, internships, or education. Familiarity with systems for stock, pricing, or order management is a bonus, as is an analytical mindset and commercial awareness to help interpret data and support decision making.
What you will need to succeed:
- Confidence working with large data sets while maintaining accuracy.
- Comfort using Excel and digital tools (sorting, filtering, formulas).
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- A quick learner who can adapt to new systems and changing priorities.
- Clear and professional communication skills for working with internal teams and external suppliers.
