A busy London office where reception plays a key role in shaping first impressions
You will work closely with the London Office Manager and support teams across the business
Your new role
Act as the face of the business, providing a warm and professional welcome to all visitors
Manage switchboard calls for London and regional offices, taking accurate messages and screening sales calls
Maintain a tidy, well‑presented reception area, kitchen, meeting rooms, and stationery supplies
Book, prepare, and manage meeting rooms, including arranging refreshments
Support seminars, training sessions, and evening events, including room setup and clear‑down
Handle incoming and outgoing post, frank mail, and arrange couriers with tracking
Monitor the London mailbox and forward emails promptly
Assist with administrative tasks such as creating notepads, printing, posting, and updating internal systems
Provide ad hoc support to the Office Manager and wider teams as required
What you'll need to succeed
A polite, friendly, and professional manner with a confident telephone voice
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational ability with the capacity to multitask and prioritise
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
High attention to detail and strong reliability, punctuality, and efficiency
Ability to work independently, using initiative and problem‑solving skills
Professional personal presentation and strong interpersonal skills
Confidence interacting with colleagues and visitors at all levels
